Questioning Christianity is a place to explore the claims of the Christian faith. It’s designed to help people who are open to learning more process their questions and doubts about Christianity.

In our experience, it is helpful to process new ideas and information through conversations with other people. We encourage you to talk to a Christian friend or pastor about: things you found that were compelling, anything that was confusing and anything you disagree with.

A good place to continue exploring the claims of the Christian faith is at a church. Worship services, smaller group gatherings and one-on-one meetings with pastoral staff are common avenues to connecting within a church community. We believe that God invites us to talk to him through prayer. We also believe that prayers do not need to be rehearsed or polished, and that in fact the most honest prayers can be those in which we struggle to find the words to say. That being said, we have provided the following prayers as guidelines for where you might be on your path to learning more about the Christian faith. 

Prayer for those searching for truth:
Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Help me consider the cost of following you as I think about the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and open me to the reality of who you are. Give me an understanding of you that is coherent, convincing, and that leads to the life you promise. Amen.

Prayer for those wanting belief:
Lord Jesus, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared admit, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying the debt on the cross, taking what I deserved in order to offer me complete forgiveness. Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I wish to turn from my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord.
